Founded in 1916 as part of a religious mission, Saint-Adelme officially becomes a municipality in 1933. Around 500 people live in Saint-Adelme nowadays. Located at the border of the Chic-Chocs Mountains, the municipality covers a 102 35 km2 area. It is considered sheer heaven for hunting, fishing and motor sports lovers. Saint-Adelme overflows with beautiful scenery.
In recent years, the village had a makeover, upgraded its roads, infrastructures, and brought its water up to standard. Those developments display the citizen’s commitment in evolving in a dynamic environment. The local theatre, Le Théâtre du Bedeau, is a shining example of the village’s cultural notoriety. Their stage productions also attract many tourists, therefore encouraging the local economy.
