The Cap-Chat River offers a breathtaking scenery, as it sits right below the Chic-Chocs Mountains. Its shallow ground, covered in gravel, allows the run of big salmon. There, you can fish salmon or brook trout, enjoy Wildlife Observation as well as hunt moose, black bears and small game. Nature lovers can also rent cabins or camping sites. The Cap-Chat River’s Controlled Harvesting Zone is located east of the Matanie territory and you have to go either through Cap-Chat or the Matane Wilflife Reserve to access it.
To find the reception post, you must take the Route 132 until you reach Cap-Chat. Then, you must turn south on Des Fonds street and follow it until the Érable street before finally reaching the Cassette street, your final destination.
